Born in 2025 in the northern depths of France, Sloth Temple are a doom quartet hailing from Lille. Gathering musicians already active within the local scene, the band quickly stands out as a true regional mini supergroup. The line-up features Lucas Polak (guitar, vocals – also bassist for Jupeaters), Steve Fuzzblood (guitar – also member of Last Retaliation), Quentin Roussel (bass) and Clément Defer (drums – also guitarist in Big Death Amego).

Sloth Temple’s music conjures mystical and esoteric atmospheres, driven by massive riffs and an unrelenting rhythm section. Their sound draws as much from the heavy, earth-shaking tones of Witchfinder or Monolord, as from the meditative dimension of OM, while capturing the hypnotic force of Windhand.

Through their lyrics, Sloth Temple weave the imagery of a fictional cult devoted to the sloth, a totemic figure of slowness and contemplation. In a world consumed by speed and relentless productivity, this utopian cult elevates deceleration into a true act of resistance.

Founded in 2025, Sloth Temple are currently preparing their debut five-track EP, a bold statement set to leave its mark and establish their universe on the French and international doom scene.
